Akira Oda (織田 晃, Oda Akira) is the main protagonist of the My Status as an Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Hero, Series. He is magically summoned to another world, and he and his classmates are awarded fantastical powers–but while one of them is lucky enough to become a true Hero, Akira becomes a mere Assassin. However, against all odds, the Assassin just might be the most powerful role of all! Harbouring doubts about the intentions of the king, Akira uses his newfound strength as a master of the shadows to uncover the secrets and conspiracies of the crown.
Background[]
Akira Oda is an ordinary high schooler. He lives with his sickly mother and sister. Each time school ends, he goes to do part-time odd jobs to fulfil his family's expenses. One day, a king of Retice Kingdom from the world called Morigan has Akira and his classmates Summoned to the kingdom to defeat the demon king and protect them from the threat. Then, an old magician Each of them has their starting job and status.
Because one cannot take a look at another's status window, they then are asked to touch a crystal sphere which projects the toucher's status window in front of people there and their classmates. Then, a girl takes the first turn to touch.
Akira then gets a bit surprised because his status is far higher. He then decides if the class representative and president of the student council, Tsukasa Sato has a lower status, Akira will sneak out from the hall using Conceal Presence as he dislikes to get attention. Then, Satou displays his lower status, so he does not dispel his <Conceal Presence>.
Appearance[]
Akira has black hair that is short and messy, with bangs that fall right between his eyes. He has slim eyes with brown irises, that have a tint of hazel. Akira dresses in mostly black to help blend into the shadows, at the beginning of the manga he is seen wearing a uniform.
Personality[]
Akira's demeanour may give off the impression that he is aloof and unapproachable, but beneath the surface lies a hidden personality that is both caring and selfless. When it comes to his friends, Akira will stop at nothing to ensure that they receive the support and assistance they need, even if it means sacrificing his well-being. Despite his reserved nature, those who take the time to get to know Akira will find that he is a loyal and dependable ally.
